A sculpture of François Grimaldi, 'La Malizia', by sculptor Kees Verkade. The sculpture was placed in 1997 to honor the 700th anniversary of Grimaldi's takeover of the Principality of Monaco. Grimaldi accomplished the takeover by pretending to be a monk.
