This stairway led to the very modern guest rooms. Of course, there were elevators as well.

This modern addition on the back of the historic building housed the hotel reception, lobby, and dining room in which we were served all of our breakfasts.

This gate and drive led to a nicely sheltered and quiet hotel entrance. The hotel guest rooms were in the more modern addition in the back that was originally part of the music conservatory.

The Conservatorium, our hotel in Amsterdam. The building was originally designed by Dutch architect Daniel Knuttel as the Rijkspostspaarband (I think that translates as 'sports bar') and sparked the regeneration of the Museum Quarter in Amsterdam. In 1978 the building was repurposed as the Sweelinck Conservatorium.

As we approached Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, we saw agricutural fields, a power plant, and windmills of the power generation type.

After takeoff from Nice, we circled and flew over the Nice airport. This gave us a great view of the parts of the Azur Coast we visited during our stay in Nice.
