While in Nashville we attended a Grand Ole Opry show at the historic Ryman Auditorium
The Ryman Auditorium was named after Thomas Ryman. This is the new entrance and gift shop, built during the restoration of the original building in 1993-94. The new entrance is located on the opposite side from the entrance to the original building.

We were told that the 'crane' was the state bird of Tennessee. This high-rise construction directly across the street from the historic front of the Ryman prevented photographing the auditorium from that location.

We were fortunate that the Grand Ole Opry moves back to the Ryman during November and December while the new Opryland theatre is hosting a holiday program.
