The white wall in the center-rear of the building is where the current owners, the law firm that restored the building, added additional office space. This space was open in the original building, allowing all offices to have windows that could be opened in that time before air conditioning.

The Bemis-Ransom House (1880s), Joseph Lyman Silsbee, Architect, now houses the offices of Collins & Collins Attorneys, LLC. To the best of our knowledge, they are not related to Doug. However, they have been outstanding stewards of this architectural treasure, and they had their staff open the house to us for a tour on a Saturday.
