Our introduction to Amsterdam was a canal cruise that was our last guided tour of our Smithsonian Journeys tour.

There were many houseboats along the Amsterdam canals. The 'Dragan Marine' tubes are bumpers to protect against wayward boats during the King's Day celebration on April 27th.

The bold green line shows the route of our canal ship from east of Antwerp to Lelystadt. I didn't turn on my GPS until after we had visited Ghent, Bruges, and Antwerp.
