The Guinness Storehouse building was originally the St. James's Gate Brewery. It was built in 1902 in the style of the Chicago School of Architecture and was the first multi-storey steel-framed building to be constructed in Ireland. It was extensively remodeled to become the Guinness Storehouse tourist attraction, which opened in 2000.
