After checking into our ryokan in Kurashiki, we travelled by train the short distance to Okayama to visit Korakuen Garden. We were there during the peak of the cherry blossoms and, thus, were treated to many Japanese picnicking under the trees, artists painting scenes with cherry blossoms, and at least three wedding parties in the garden for photos.
