Nagoya, Japan

April 2012

From Atami we travelled by Shinkansen to Nagoya. In Inuyama, near Nagoya, we visited The Museum Meiji-Mura, an outdoor museum that opened in 1965 with the purpose of preserving valuable architecture from the Meiji era (1868-1912). It is here that the lobby of Frank Lloyd Wright's Imperial Hotel was reconstructed after the original building, built in Tokyo from 1915 to 1923, was demolished in 1968 and replaced with a newer and larger Imperial Hotel.
