We travelled to Philadelphia to attend the annual conference of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy. This was an opportunity to hear lectures by a number of distinguished scholars and to tour buildings designed not only by Wright but also by Louis Kahn and other pre-eminent 20th century architects. While in Philadelphia we explored the area near our hotel, located in the Society Hill area adjacent to the historic district, and attended a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game.

Rainy weather welcomed us to Philidelphia.

The Curtis Center lobby houses 'The Dream Garden', a monumental glass mosiac constructed by Tiffany Studios in 1914-15.

The Penn Mutual Tower, designed in 1971 by Mitchell/Giurgola, incorporates the original facade of the Pennsylvania Fire Insurance Company building, designed by Seeler in 1913.
