• We were told that this is an actual copy of a version of the Declaration of Independence that preceeded the signed copy held in the National Archives in Washington DC.

• Carpenters' Hall was built, owned and operated by The Carpenters' Company, established 1724. It was the meeting place of the First Continental Congress in 1774.

• Doug remembers Mister Softee ice cream trucks from his boyhood in Northern Virginia. It was his first 'soft' ice cream. We saw many of these trucks in Philadelphia.
