• The Snøhetta-designed building sits between the 1995 red brick building designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta and the older skyscraper in the center background of this photo. The tower/skylight in the center is part of the Botta building. The main entrance to the Museum remains on this 3rd Street side.

• Snøhetta redesigned the main entrance space of the Botta building, opening up the entry area and stairway while keeping the upper part of the skylight and the skybridge much like it was designed by Botta. The ticket counter is now located on the second floor near the top of this new stairway.
